Puffle History

If it weren't for this picture, the picture CP asked which pet you would want, there wouldn't be puffles.

Puffles were first spotted, but not officially introduced, sometime around November 24th 2005, when Club Penguin was just made.  Some time in November Puffles were introduced to the game, the four first puffle's were blue, pink, black, and green.  Sometime November/December CP held a naming contest, the name "Puffle" won and the winner won 5000 coins and a three day membership.  In December the name "Puffle is officially used for the first time.  The first puffle game, Puffle Roundup, has all the bugs taken out of it and is introduced, where?  March 13th, 2006, the Pet Shop opens allowing members to buy all four species of puffles, and non-members to buy a blue one.  Purple puffles started to mysteriously appear on Puffle Roundup. And during the 1st mission, when Aunt Arctic loses here puffles, the green and purple puffles were introduced.  In August, the purple puffle is buyable at the pet shop.  In September you can walk your puffles.  In October, Rockhopper talks about his friend and pet, Yarr, a red puffle, which introduces red puffles.  IN November you can give your puffle a soaking wet bath.  Also in November the second secret mission, G's secret mission, Reveals, Puffle O's, and the black puffle.  In December Captain Rockhopper introduces the red puffle to club penguin, although they were not able to be herded in puffle roundup like the other five breeds, members could now buy up to 12 puffles, and non-members two.  In May puffles are able to surf with you in catchin-wavs.
